ACE Support combines all of my previous roles and experience in copy-editing, proofreading and bookkeeping, enabling me to offer unique services to all of my clients.
My business name (ACE Support) is made up of my initials – Annals, Claire E.
After work experience in secretarial and admin roles whist studying for my BA (Hons) degree in Communication Studies my first role was as Secretary to the Directors and then the Editors at a medical journal publisher.
I then moved to Ashgate Publishing as an Assistant Desk Editor, moving up to Desk and then Senior Desk Editor as I progressed from trainee to trainer, studying at the Publishing Training Centre along the way.
When we moved to the Midlands in 2005 I launched my freelance editorial career. A voluntary role with the local NCT Branch led to a regional role with the charity managing 20 East Midlands branches, organising and delivering training, attending national governance meetings and providing support to numerous volunteers.
In 2011 I became part of Key Support offering admin and bookkeeping services, working with a wide variety of clients giving me a broad experience in bookkeeping practices.
